Tale of two candidates; first, Kamala Harris

The NY Times says her campaign is a mess and that it, in part, the problem is that it listened too much to Twitter punditry. This is likely true.

They allowed themselves to be seduced by the sirens’ song of the blue check wokeniki and their manichean (i.e., ironically religious) view of politics, spawned from identical educations at 1%er universities. (Here, I mean the wokeniki who write for Jacobin, Intercept, Splinternews, and other defunct spewsites).

But the problem began Ab ovo.

Harris’ opening attack on the popular former VP was a disaster. Yet, like those below Biden, she flailed in search of a coherent line of attack. She’s been undone by the wokeniki who turned her impressive legal career into a liability.

Harris stans like Joan Walsh will be devastated.

It didn’t take long for the wokeniki to celebrate the imminent demise of The Cop.

Tis’ a worthy distraction from the flagging hopes of the Vermont revolutionary.

The NY Times also takes glee in the demise of any candidate. Same thing happened with De Blasio. Same thing will happen with Klobuchar and Booker in the near future.

Now Buttigieg: his education plan is mocked by the wokeniki. Let’s examine.

Free higher ed up to $100k is reasonable and rational. Why should the 99% pay for the education of 1% sprogs? Where’s the socialism in that?!

The “critique” amounts to no more than this: means testing means being mean.

This passes as revolutionary wisdom now.

In NYC, Bill de Blasio installed universal pre-K for all. Ironically, Berniebros/brosettes and Warren stans mocked de Blasio’s candidacy.

Re Harris and Biden:

Busing (federally mandated or not) isn’t one that will flip the Senate or win Ohio, PA, and Wisconsin for Democrats. I can’t think of anyone who even talks about busing anymore. It is juicy journalistic clickbait though.

Integration (which is the point of busing) was deemed illegitimate during the rise of multiculturalism and the emphasis on difference in the 1980s/90s. It seems to be an odd issue to revive just for the sake of sticking it to Biden.

Busing has no political relevance today unless one of the Dems is pushing it (and I believe none of them are).

The problem for Harris is that Booker is riding her coattails on this issue and won’t let it die (even if Harris moves on from it).

However, Booker isn’t getting a bounce in poll numbers from his kerfuffle with Biden (his campaign barely has a pulse). Probably needs to shift tactics and targets.

Since Biden’s “bipartisanship” led to this dispute, one should note that it is a dead virtue because (1) right-wingers are no longer in the Democratic Party (see Robert Byrd, segregationist) and (2) it was easier to be bipartisan in the era of earmarks (which the GOP controlled Senate has banned under the influence of the House “Freedom Caucus”).

Jacobin Magazine says AOC is August Bebel 2.0.

Electoral college math suggests the election will be won or lost in Wisconsin, Michigan, PA, and Ohio, not Queens, NY.

Most NY Times pundits don’t do research and rely on projection and innuendo. One sees it in Stephens, Brooks, Bouie, and Dowd (to name a few).

Trump’s presidency is an ongoing series of felonies. He’ll be in exile in Russia long before a President Harris can get her hands on him.

Let Trump have his war with Iran. It will put to an end the 2016 claim from Bernistan that in contrast to Clinton, Trump was a peacemaker.

A few of the Democrats running for the nomination haven’t made it to the debate stage. There are no orange slices and trophies for finishing 21st.

Nothing against Cory Booker, but the last President associated with Stanford didn’t work out so well.

Anti-vaxxer Jessica Biesles has torpedoed her career.

Sarah Sanders is going straight to the hot place, where her soul will be cleansed by eternal hellfire. She delivered a masterclass in lying every time she appeared on camera.

This resignation brings joy to all rational people.

It would be good to give up the idea that you’re smarter and better at politics than Pelosi.

Finishing the hat

After today’s performance, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kamala Harris leapfrogs over Bernie Sanders in all the polls.

When William Barr lies, his dewlap swells.

Trump, Barr, and Pompeo have the same body type.

Senator John Kennedy is more senile than he looks.

Trump is next to receive the pointy end of justice.

What a terrible mob lawyer Giuliani is.

Kamala Harris declared her candidacy for POTUS. It will be interesting to see how Berniebros play this. With Clinton, they fell back on misogyny. With Harris, will they dare use race? How far will they go for the sake of Sanders’ “revolution”?
